Kids and everyone’s favorite.

Ingredients (servings for 4)
- 1 cup wheat flour (atta)
- 3/4th cup sugar
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup desi ghee (clarified butter)
- Some people add dry fruits to this. But I prefer it simple.
Procedure
- Prepare the sugar syrup by adding sugar to 2 cups of water and bringing it to boil, till the sugar is dissolved completely.
- In a kadhai add desi ghee and let it melt then add atta to it.
- Cook it on medium flame with continuous stiring till the color of the atta changes to golden brown and a mild aroma starts coming.
- Then add the hot sugar syrup to atta while continuously stiring and cook this on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
- Turn of the flame and let this rest for 5-10 minutes.
- The halwa is ready and it will release all the extra desi ghee which can be used in some other dish.
